Arbroath aquanatal
Let the water take the weight off your feet!
Aquanatal is a great form of safe exercise in water, set to music and specifically designed for pregnant women.
Join Fiona Mineard (midwife and trained Aquanatal Instructor) at Arbroath Sports Centre, Keptie Road on Tuesdays from 7.45-8.45pm. The cost is only £2.90 plus a 50p donation to the Maternity Unit. You are welcome to bring a friend or relative to your first session if you like.
Why aquanatal?
- It is sociable and friendly, hopefully fun and a great way to meet other mums-to-be.
- When immersed in water, 75 per cent of your body weight is supported in the water providing welcome light relief.
- Your baby is protected throughout by the cushioning effects of water.
- You don’t need to be a fitness fanatic or even be able to swim. You are encouraged to work at your own pace and in a comfortable water depth.
- Weights and floats are used to enhance some exercises.
- Aquanatal can help boost your self-esteem ensuring a healthier mind as well as a healthier fitter body.
- It can also help you have a shorter more natural labour!!
