Breastfeeding celebrated at Arbroath

Arbroath midwives are celebrating their 12th year of achieving UNICEF 'Baby Friendly' status.
Team leader Chris Field explained this is awarded for women's knowledge and skill in using the 10 steps to successful breastfeeding. She added, "A big thanks to all mothers who aided us in achieving it. A formal award will take place later in the year."
As part of their ongoing celebration of breastfeeding, the Arbroath unit is holding a coffee morning for all mums and babies during National Breastfeeding Awareness Week, which runs from 21st-27th June 2010. Their Breast Feeding Support worker Tracy Menmuir will also be on hand to answer any questions.
