Fundraising and events at Arbroath

Arbroath midwives are launching a fundraising campaign to update areas of the unit including the labour rooms.
The midwives are hoping Arbroath women will want to get involved in organising events as well as supporting them. A major opportunity is the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Queen Mother Wing in September 2011. Midwifery team leader Chris Field says, "We would very much like to mark this wonderful occasion, so we are inviting the people of Arbroath to come forward with ideas, sponsorship help and advice for their local unit."
Chris says the midwives would also welcome donations of knitted goods from talented grannies, aunties and mums, as stocks are running low.
Meanwhile a number of the midwives are in training to participate in a different fundraising event, the Race for Life. If anyone wishes to sponsor them they can get in touch on 01241 822537.
