Breastfeeding tea party at Montrose

Beautiful weather and beautiful babies were out in force at Montrose Maternity's annual breastfeeding tea party to mark National Breastfeeding Awareness Week 2010.
Twenty four mums and babies enjoyed cream teas and snacks in the Infirmary grounds on Tuesday, accompanied by midwives and student midwives.
Midwifery team leader Phyllis Winters said, "It was a chance to acknowledge the dedication of local mums to breastfeeding, and be on hand to offer any help and advice as needed." She added, "Montrose Maternity currently has a breastfedding rate of 74 per cent at birth, which compares very favourably with national breastfeeding figures."
