Safe Births
In countries where doctors are scarce, you can equip a traditional birth attendant with a maternity kit for safe births. The kit comprises soap, surgical gloves, clean sheets, sterile razors to cut the cord, plastic clips to secure it, gauze, sterile water for mopping up and a swaddling cloth for the babies. And thatīs about everything required, except the babies names.

This year the midwives will buy safe deliveries kits instead of sending Christmas cards. If you would like to make a small donation we would be very grateful.
