Both Arbroath and Montrose community maternity units have marked the 60th birthday of the NHS by donning old-fashioned nurses uniforms and reflecting on the changes in maternity care over the years.
You can read here in the Courier about two very special visitors to Arbroath maternity unit, Molly Watson and Helen Cargill. Molly (now 79) gave birth to Helen at Arbroath Maternity Unit as the NHS came into operation. You can also read a Courier feature on Montrose Maternity Unit here.
