100th baby of 2008 at Arbroath

Arbroath midwives have welcomed their 100th baby of 2008.
Tracy and Michael Paterson's daughter Scarlett arrived on Monday, a wee sister for Corey who was also born at the community maternity unit three years ago. The Arbroath Herald quotes Tracy as saying, "I want to thank the midwives at Arbroath's community maternity unit for everything: they were brilliant. The treatment I received here was first class!"
The number of women giving birth at the unit has been increasing steadily. At the same time last year there had been 78 births, so the midwives are looking forward to 2008 continuing to be a bumper year.
